Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 years as tight-ends within the National Football League. He is considered to be one of the top tight ends in history. Gonzalez's assertion that he would retire from the NFL following 2013 was not true. On the 15th of March 2013 Gonzalez was signed by the Falcons a 2-year contract for $14,000,000. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the league's top player of receiving yards in his final season.
